About the job

At GSK we are looking for a highly capable senior technical builder who can design and govern the data-flows that GSK’s Research & Development (R&D) division runs on. If you believe data should move on its own and still arrive trusted, then this role could be for you.

The Data Flow Lead role reports directly into the Senior Director for Data Governance, Innovation & Automated Compliance, and sits within the Data Value Office (DVO) for the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) organization of GSK’s Research & Development (R&D) function.

This role is focused on delivering data-flows-as-product, compliance-as-code, and governance built into the pipeline (instead of bolted-on). You will turn scattered systems and sources into modular, reusable, end-to-end flows in one consistent format that can be used to its full potential throughout GSK’s R&D divisions. Your mission is to make R&D data visible, trusted and automation-ready (by default) so teams can decide faster and scale agentic solutions with confidence (whilst keeping the human expert in the loop).

Key Responsibilities (include..):

Location: GSK HQ London, Stevenage, or Ware R&D.

Please Note: If the successful applicant is based at Stevenage site: This role will temporarily be based at Stevenage. However, the Company plans to relocate its offices to Cambridge, UK. The location of this role will therefore subsequently change to Cambridge UK, in accordance with timelines to be set by the Company. The relocation is currently proposed to take effect by early 2029.

About You:

Please note that this role is not a documentation role. We are looking for a capable technical subject matter expert with experience of delivering sophisticated date-flow solutions. You will be confident with metadata ecosystems and agentic workforces (and related agentic decision-making processes). We are currently operating with Azure (but applicants with experience of similar systems are encouraged to apply, including GCP). As this role is multi-faceted and includes collaborating / liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders and matrix teams you must have strong experience of working in complex matrix-environment, with demonstrable clear problem-solving approach to your work.
