About the job

As a Senior/Lead Software Developer – Agentic Orchestrator, you will take a leading technical role in shaping how AI coding agents are integrated into our software engineering environment.

Rather than focusing on individual AI-assisted development tasks, you will design and build the workflows, tools and infrastructure that enable agentic software development across multiple teams and projects. Your work will help establish scalable, secure and reliable approaches to using AI agents throughout the software development lifecycle.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position without direct people management responsibility. You will combine strong software engineering expertise with practical experience in agentic orchestration, working closely with development teams to introduce new capabilities, define best practices and continuously improve our engineering ecosystem.

Our technology environment is primarily based on Spring Boot, Java and Kotlin, with modern frontend technologies such as React and Angular.

Your tasks:

► Design, develop and continuously improve agentic software development workflows covering planning, implementation, testing, review and delivery

► Build and integrate tools and infrastructure connecting AI coding agents with repositories, development environments, CI/CD pipelines and engineering systems

► Define reusable technical patterns and scalable approaches for agentic development across multiple teams and projects

► Establish effective context engineering strategies, ensuring agents receive the appropriate information, constraints and technical knowledge

► Design and implement quality gates, validation mechanisms and human approval processes for AI-generated changes

► Define secure execution approaches, including permissions, isolation and controlled access to development environments and engineering systems

► Develop strategies for handling failures, retries, escalations and recovery within agentic workflows

► Evaluate emerging AI coding agents, models and orchestration technologies and make well-founded technical decisions regarding their implementation

► Integrate agentic workflows into existing Spring Boot, Java and Kotlin development environments and engineering processes

► Improve the observability, transparency and reliability of agentic workflows through monitoring, evaluation and execution tracking

► Collaborate with engineering teams to introduce agentic development practices and support their effective adoption

► Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance, establish best practices and promote knowledge sharing across development teams

► Identify architectural, security and operational risks and drive continuous improvement of the agentic development ecosystem

► Strong professional software engineering experience at Senior or Lead level

► Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and professional development experience in Java and/or Kotlin

► Proven practical experience in designing, implementing or operating agentic software development workflows

► Extensive hands-on experience with modern AI coding agents, including a strong understanding of their capabilities, limitations and potential failure scenarios

► Experience integrating development tools, APIs, repositories, CI/CD pipelines and engineering platforms

► Strong understanding of software architecture, automated testing, development workflows and software quality principles

► Ability to design reusable and scalable technical solutions that can be applied across multiple projects and teams

► Good understanding of security, access management, permissions and controlled execution in automated development environments

► Strong architectural mindset with the ability to evaluate technical alternatives and make well-founded platform-level decisions

► Experience providing technical guidance and influencing engineering practices across development teams

► Excellent analytical, problem-solving and systems-thinking skills

► Independent, proactive and solution-oriented working style with a high level of technical ownership

► Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to guide colleagues without formal people management responsibility

► Very good command of English, both written and spoken

What gives you further advantages:

► Experience with Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot or comparable coding-agent platforms

► Experience designing multi-agent workflows or agent orchestration frameworks

► Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) or other agent-to-tool integration approaches

► Experience with context engineering and repository-level agent instructions

► Background in Platform Engineering or Developer Experience (DevEx)

► Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and cloud environments

► Experience with observability, tracing and evaluation of agentic workflows

► Knowledge of sandboxing and isolated execution environments

► Experience with LLM APIs or developing AI-enabled engineering tools
