As a Senior Database QA Automation Engineer you will work as a senior member of a Scrum team to execute the overall quality plan for one of Charles River’s products. Provide support and assistance to customers and other teams within Charles River.

The candidate should be a sharp automation engineer with strong problem-solving skills and a solid software testing foundation. This role requires a talented, detail oriented, enthusiastic individual who is passionate about quality with the ability to grasp tough issues quickly and deliver well engineered, high-quality solutions. Financial services industry experience is preferred.

The role requires minimum of three days working from the office (located in Krakow or Gdansk).

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable automated test frameworks and regression suites
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality feature delivery
• Expand automation coverage across functional, integration, and system testing
• Support CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices
• Identify quality risks early and drive continuous improvement in testing processes
• Contribute to shared automation libraries and testing infrastructure
• Advocate for quality engineering best practices across the development lifecycle
• 80% database testing, 20% UI/API testing

Qualifications:

Required:

• At least 5 years of experience in software testing
• Demonstrated experience programming with any modern OOP language (like: Java, C#, SQL, Python)
• Very good knowledge about databases, including SQL query language.
• Demonstrated experience implementing and executing automation test scripts against web, native/desktop applications, APIs and batch applications.
• Demonstrated experience using test cases, scripts, and automated test tools for verifying requirements on multi-tier applications
• Effective written and verbal communication.

Nice to have:

• Experience working as a software tester in a database project (like data warehouse, data lake, ETL processes)
• Experience in database performance testing and optimization.
• Familiarity with AI tools like to increase productivity

Minimum Salary:​

zł182 004 Annual

The minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.​

Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.​

In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.​
