HelloFresh is going AI-first. Join us in leading the shift and shaping the global customer experience. As a Senior UX Strategist & Researcher on our UX team, you'll own work from ambiguous brief to strategic outcome and implementation — defining project needs, using innovative research approaches, prototyping direction instead of presenting findings, and walking into executive meetings with a decision artifact, not a summary. The most valued teammates today aren't the ones who run the most studies. They shape which questions get asked, challenge business assumptions before money is spent, and stay in the room to drive the decision.

You'll use AI fluently as a genuine creative and strategic partner throughout the product design lifecycle. Strategy and research are your deepest strengths, but you’ll also work across the wider UX practice. We’re looking for people who go deep in one area and can take interface design, service design, and content to a solid minimum quality standard on their own, using AI to move fast, and who know when a problem needs a specialist’s depth.

What you’ll do

• Lead strategic research for insights to action: Own the end-to-end research and strategy work streams, from scoping through execution to insight delivery and application, balancing primary, secondary, qualitative and quantitative methods.
• Shape experiences across the ecosystem: Partner with product, design, marketing, operations, and business teams to understand and shape experiences across the full customer and service ecosystem.
• Shape the agenda, not just respond to it: Proactively identify which bets need de-risking before anyone has asked. Challenge briefs before executing them. Connect findings to business decisions, market context, and KPIs.

• Influence at strategic altitude: influence decision-makers— often VP/SVP — presenting in formats that force a decision in the room, not a follow-up meeting. Build visual directions, opportunity frameworks, and concept artifacts that make choices tangible.
• Design and lead workshops: Own co-creation and alignment sessions end-to-end — the room, the agenda, and the output. Move teams from findings to direction.
• Make insight visible: Build prototypes, concept visualizations, and service scenarios — using AI where needed to close the gap between insight and expression.
• Apply the right method for the moment: Select methods based on what the problem demands, not what's most familiar. Apply foundational, generative, or evaluative methodologies, rightsized to the context and the level of speed and rigor required.
• Work AI-native across strategy and research: Apply AI from framing the problem and scoping studies through analysis, synthesis, and strategic recommendations. Use it to prototype directions and create decision-informed content, turning findings into executive-ready narratives and visual frameworks that compress the insight-to-action cycle. Experiment with novel methods, bring what works into live projects, and apply critical judgment throughout, knowing when to override the model.
• Break down barriers across UX: Use AI to flex into interface design, service design, and content, producing work that meets a clear minimum quality bar on your own, and knowing when a problem needs a specialist’s depth. Help the team do the same by sharing what works, so AI removes execution barriers between disciplines and scales across the UX organization.

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years in UX research, UX strategy, Service Design or a closely related field within a product or tech environment
• Mixed-methods toolkit with strong judgment for when to apply which approach
• Experience influencing VP/SVP-level stakeholders — changing decisions, not just informing them
• Ability to design and lead workshops and co-creation sessions with cross-functional teams
• Ability to prototype and visualize strategic direction independently — through concept sketches, lo-fi prototypes, service blueprints, or AI-assisted artifacts
• Strong strategic storytelling and visual communication; deliverables built to move people, not just inform them
• Genuine AI native workflows and outputs in a research or strategy context — demonstrated point of view on how AI should change our workflows and where its limits are, as well as practical experience applying AI in real project contexts
• Business acumen: able to connect research to trade-offs, market context, and commercial implications
• Depth plus breadth: Deep strategy and research skills, plus working knowledge of interface design, service design, and content craft. You can produce work that meets a defined quality bar with AI support, and you’re comfortable handing off when the depth required goes beyond that.
