Marketing Cloud & Data 360 Solution Architect

Salesforce Professional Services focuses on delivering strategic engagements that define transformational opportunities and articulate clear plans for execution of change programs. We rely on our team's expertise and specialisms to engage with executive-level customers to agree on specific business goals and actions to ignite the full value of Salesforce. OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

Salesforce is currently seeking a Marketing Cloud & Data 360 Solution Architect to join our Professional Services team within Professional Services. This role is centered on being a "Data & Engagement" subject matter expert, leading the design and implementation of enterprise-grade customer engagement and data management solutions. Marketing Cloud and Data 360 expertise is required (similar Martech and CDP expertise is also acceptable), to drive cross-cloud success and unlock enterprise AI and personalization use cases. Deeper Data 360 specialization is considered a plus on top of this core requirement.
The Solution Architect is responsible for architecting scalable, data-driven engagement solutions across enterprise landscapes, ensuring customer data is unified, governed, and activated effectively across channels. You will work closely with Project Managers and Technical Architects to ensure on-time, fully functioning integrations. The ideal candidate thrives in an entrepreneurial atmosphere, communicates tactfully with business operations, and effectively designs, tests, and deploys complex marketing and data solutions. You must be an excellent communicator who can tailor delivery to a variety of audiences.

Through our extended onboarding program of formal certification, internal training, knowledge transfer, hands-on experience and closely working with other Consultants, Architects and Project Managers you will become a Salesforce Domain Authority at the forefront of our offerings, delivering outstanding customer success.

• Become a Trusted SME: Act as the primary authority for Marketing Cloud and Data 360 to support project delivery, including how data and engagement architecture relate to the success of Agentforce and AI-driven personalization.
• Strategic Design: Drive the creation of application and technical design documents (Blueprints/FSD) which leverage Salesforce best practices and effectively integrate Salesforce into the customer's infrastructure.
• Unified Customer Engagement: Design and guide customer's enterprise data and engagement architecture, highlighting the importance of Data Governance, consent management, and ensuring solutions adhere to security and privacy regulations.
• Technical Excellence: Provide guidance on integration development best practices, Enterprise Architecture standards, and environment management. Lead code reviews and define coding standards (SQL, SSJS, AMPScript).
• Stakeholder Management: Facilitate and influence Executive Customer stakeholders while aligning technology strategy to business value and ROI.
• Risk Mitigation: Troubleshoot key customer implementation issues and demonstrate the ability to drive to a successful resolution through proactive risk management.
  

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Fluent in English and French
  Marketing Cloud and Data 360 Expertise: Direct, hands-on experience designing and configuring Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio) and Data 360 — Ingestion, Unified Profile, Insights, and Activation — and how they integrate . Equivalent experience with a similar Martech or CDP platform is also acceptable.
• Martech Expertise : Deep expertise of Martech Ecosysem, Customer journey orchestration, Digital campaign management and Optimization
• Architectural Proficiency: Solid understanding of system designs and integration patterns, data modeling, MDM, development Lifecycle and Deployment (DevOps)
• Solution Documentation: Ability to clearly and articulately document solutions, including data flows, engineering flowcharts, and technical artifacts.
• Requirement Translation: Ability to create a solution based on client requirements and map business processes into our technical product suite.
• Cross-Cloud Integration: Knowledge of API patterns (REST/SOAP) and experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems (ETL, CRM, data lakes).
• Technical Leadership: Lead inter-team meetings on technical and business challenges; conduct solutions testing and validation.
• Mobility: Travel to client sites for onsite discovery and solutions presentations (estimated 25%-50%).
• Education: Engineering School Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
  

PREFERRED

• Marketing Cloud Expertise : 6+ Years of direct experience with Marketing Cloud, including designing and building multi-channel journeys, increase customer engagement and optimize campaigns ROI.
• Data 360 Mastery: 2+ years of direct experience with Data 360, including advanced Unified Profile and Activation design.
• AI : Familiarity with Agentforce
• Strategic Communication: Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, able to present complex concepts at both tactical and executive levels.
• Data Background: 6+ years in marketing technology or data architecture consulting, with a focus on relational data models and SQL.
• Ecosystem Knowledge: Familiarity with external data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP) and functional domains such as Finance, Telco, or Retail.
• Certifications:
• Highly Regarded: Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Consultant and/or Marketing Cloud Developer.
• Preferred: Salesforce Certified Data 360 Consultant, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Administrator.
• Adaptability: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, fluid environment and remain "scrappy" as we scale and evolve our team.
